grassroots efforts for alternative fuel rather than Congressional legislative measure re: oil consumption

While I agree that something must be done to curb the oil consumption in uSA, I don't think it will come from Congress ... The Bush family owns/controls Texaco oil ~!!!! of course, Oil prices have sky-rocketed since he moved into the White House ... if they can steal the election twice, they certainly can manipulate profits for their own business ... and they have the other oil hooligans to support them ...

There are already technologies available to make cars more efficient and environmentally friendly: manufacturers could use a 200 mile per gallon carburetor which was invented many years ago by a guy named Pogue; (some car or oil company bought the patent and then filed it ... and now fuel injection actually gives lower gas mileage than the old carburetors! - this MUST be deliberate! ;o(

Some inventors have actually run their vehicles on water successfully for years !!! these folks have been silenced (some jailed or killed! ;o( and their technologies hidden, trashed, and otherwise kept from the public ...

Even the hydro-booster from the link I sent you will improve gas mileage and so decrease gas consumption ... a simple home-made device ... why is this info not made public by the media and environmentalists?

Maybe this group NRDC - Natural Resources Defense Council - (www.nrdcactionfund.org; or info@nrdcactionfund.org)should/could spread the word about these alternative energies thru their grassroots efforts rather than trying to use Congress to make the changes ... unless Congress will stand up against the dictator and his goon squad of hooligans (which it has so far failed to do), I don't have much hope for their legislating effective change ....
